This article has been updated with new information — click here to watch the first official trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth.
Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) was first announced in January 2024—one year ago. Though we’ve already learned quite a bit about the film, including the cast and synopsis, with screenshots teasing the new character lineup to boot, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, or even the first dinosaur.
Directed by Gareth Edwards (2014’s Godzilla, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and written by franchise veteran David Koepp (Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park), the new film, set for release on July 2, is the seventh entry in the series and is billed as the start of “a new Jurassic era.” But we’re yet to see the first Jurassic World Rebirth trailer.
Fortunately, the first official teaser has now arrived.

“Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs,” the film’s synopsis reads. “Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”
Jurassic World Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Endgame) as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert who’s contracted to lead a team on a mission to retrieve life-saving genetic material from the world’s three largest dinosaurs.
But things go awry when they encounter a shipwrecked civilian family on a mysterious island, where a “sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades” awaits.

Jurassic World Rebirth Official Trailer
It was previously reported that the first Jurassic World Rebirth trailer would premiere during this year’s Super Bowl on February 9, next Sunday. The Super Bowl will see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles, while Hollywood, as usual, will be using the opportunity to generate a ton of buzz for this year’s upcoming blockbuster titans.
However, according to the new teaser, the Jurassic World Rebirth trailer is actually set to arrive this Wednesday. Watch it below, per the official Jurassic Park/Jurassic World X (formerly Twitter) account:

Not much is shown in the 10-second teaser other than Scarlett Johansson’s covert ops expert Zora Bennett and Jonathan Bailey’s paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis in the long grass (never a good thing in the Jurassic films), where a long dinosaur tail flickers behind them ominously. Here’s to hoping we’ll find out more about this scene in just a couple of days.
The Jurassic World Rebirth trailer will probably still get a slot during the Super Bowl alongside teasers/trailers for other upcoming movies such as Marvel’s Thunderbolts (2025) and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025), but the fact that it’s set to premiere this Wednesday has left us very, very excited.
Exactly what the first trailer will entail remains to be seen, but based on the marketing for the film so far, including this brand-new teaser, which has involved several screenshots of the new characters either neck-deep in long grass or swamp water, don’t expect to see much in the way of dinosaurs. But maybe that’s a good thing as we all want to be surprised.
