Walt Disney World Resort is the Most Magical Place on Earth, a place where it seems like nothing can go wrong. Unfortunately, that is not true, and despite cast members’ best efforts, things can and do go wrong. Attractions break down, merchandise sells out, and restaurants sometimes run out of certain food options.

However, cast members try to work as quickly as they can to fix the problem. But that does not mean that guests won’t be affected when things break down or if there is a big issue.

A diverse group of Disney cast members, mostly young adults, are standing closely together, smiling, and looking ahead. They are all wearing teal uniforms with badges. Some are holding hands, creating a sense of unity and celebration. The background shows more people in similar attire.

If you are headed to the theme parks today, be sure to take note — Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom is currently closed. According to multiple guests, Disney World cast members were seen blocking off certain areas of Frontierland, leaving guests unable to fully enjoy the park.

Cast members told guests that the area is expected to reopen, but they do not know when. They further said that the area was experiencing “technical difficulties.”

One Facebook post appeared to show some flooding in the area, although some people joked that Disney was putting in an ice rink.

Current situation at Frontierland. The entire area is shutdown.

According to the My Disney Experience App, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Liberty Square Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and Country Bear Musical Jamboree are all closed. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure still appears to be open, but is still utilizing the virtual queue system.

This is not the first time that guests have been unable to access the popular theme park land. Back in September, the area was closed down, and a truck was seen in the area. Thankfully, it was just closed for a few hours.

Then, back in May, a similar truck was seen in Frontierland after a sewer backed up and flooded the area.

Have you ever visited the theme parks when an entire land is shut down? What happened? Let us know in the comments!
