Credit: NetflixDave Bautista, the star of the hit Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, is speaking out to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris and tell his fans how simple it can be to vote.
In a recent video posted to the wrestler-turned-actor‘s Instagram, Dave Bautista stated that he was voting for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election; the sitting vice president is opposed by Donald Trump, the former president and controversial media figure best known for the reality show The Apprentice and his numerous legal issues.

The caption to the post read, “Made my freedom heard. Voting early took me 20 mins—no excuses. Freedom isn’t something we just talk about; it’s something we act on. Do your part, get out there, and vote. Your voice matters, and this election’s too important to sit out. #VoteEarly #YourVoiceMatters #LoveAmericaAgain”
During the short video, Dave Bautista demonstrated the process of early voting in Tampa, Florida, saying, “Less chaos, less lines” and, “If nothing else, just vote.”
Bautista is joined in endorsing Kamala Harris by numerous other celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lawrence, and George Clooney.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star is somewhat unusual in being a (former) professional wrestler to endorse a Democrat candidate; historically speaking, professional wrestling has produced notably conservative public figures like Hulk Hogan, who memorably appeared at the Republic National Convention in Milwaukee this summer.

Dave Bautista is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, winning multiple championship titles throughout his career and headlining WrestleMania 21 and WrestleMania XXX.
Since retiring, he has pivoted to acting and nearly immediately was recognized as one of the most versatile and striking wrestlers to turn to Hollywood ever. Aside from his work in multiple Marvel Studios films, he has starred in Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Dune (2021) and Dune: Part 2 (2024), Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022), and Knock at the Cabin (2023).
