Following the closure of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member lounge at EPCOT earlier this year, a brand-new, temporary location is now available to guests at The Odyssey.

Similar to how timeshare programs work, Disney launched DVC in 1991, offering members the chance to purchase real estate interest in one of Disney’s many DVC Resorts. The list of resorts includes iconic Orlando locations like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, as well as Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel and Disney’s luxurious Aulani resort in Hawaii.

DVC lounges are located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. These lounges allow members to sit back, relax, and enjoy a snack or two in a secluded, air-conditioned room.

The most popular and beloved DVC member lounge is located inside the Imagination Pavilion at EPCOT. However, due to its closure on June 2, DVC members are now being asked to use a temporary space located in the Odyssey Pavilion.

The Odyssey is an often-overlooked part of EPCOT, primarily designated for special, limited-time events. For a while, It was home to the EPCOT Experience, which informed guests about the upcoming changes that were to be made when they headed to the park.

Now, half of The Odyssey is home to a temporary DVC member lounge due to EPCOT’s original lounge area closing. The area includes dozens of tables and chairs for guests to sit at, and while it may not be as nice as the lounge inside the Imagination Pavilion, guests can certainly still relax and enjoy their surroundings in style.

Complimentary snacks and soda are still being offered. The original Imagination Pavilion DVC member lounge is expected to reopen on July 14.

The Odyssey is just one piece of the EPCOT puzzle, with the theme park divided into four distinct lands: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase.

World Discovery houses EPCOT’s most exhilarating and intense ride yet, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This riveting adventure through space marked the first roller coaster to be built at EPCOT and is considered to be one of Disney’s best attractions.

World Nature features another recent addition to EPCOT, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana. Here, guests are invited to take a relaxing stroll through nature and enjoy some fun and unique water features based on Disney’s Moana franchise.

World Celebration is where guests can “Connect with a Global Community,” with the area offering a wide variety of activities and cuisine for guests to enjoy.

World Showcase is perhaps the most popular and iconic portion of EPCOT, featuring over 10 unique bite-sized countries for guests to explore. From Italy to France, guests are encouraged to embrace a wide range of cultures and customs as they try authentic culinary treats and enjoy some of EPCOT’s most beloved attractions.
