Notably, it currently serves as the bustling epicenter for creating the legendary Star Wars saga, as well as dozens of other Disney productions. The studio not only embodies the essence of creativity and innovation but also stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the British film industry.

Pinewood Studios’ collaboration with  The Walt Disney Company stands as a testament to the studio’s enduring legacy and significance in the film industry. Disney EMEA President Makes Conclusion

In an exciting turn of events, Disney’s EMEA President, Jan Koeppen, has made an announcement regarding the future of Disney’s production expansion in England. Much to the delight of film fans, Disney is remaining committed to its UK production sector, and they will reaffirm the “long and deep connection” the company shares with Pinwood Studios.

In a recent presentation in London, Koeppen shared that Disney will remain committed to Pinewood until 2033, at the minimum. It was also revealed that Disney had invested “£3.5bn on UK production over the last five years.” In the announcement, Koeppen said:

“Disney has been producing content here in the UK for a long time – almost 75 years in fact… Our long and deep connection with the UK is something that we’re very proud of – contributing to the economy, creating jobs, opportunities, skills and partnering with the wider industry.”

All in all, Disney reports that it has supported around 32,000 jobs through Pinewood Studios’ partnership with Disney. This investment proves that these employees will be compensated for the next decade.
