Walt Disney World Resort security cast members quickly apprehended a guest wreaking havoc at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. A witness praised the plain-clothed officers for dragging him away efficiently and quietly with few guests noticing the altercation.

Disney security cast members have had their hands full in recent years. Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are both reckoning with an uptick in theme park violence and rule-breaking. In 2022, both enacted new “courtesy” policies to curb guest misbehavior.

“Please show common courtesy to fellow guests and our cast members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive, or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others,” the updated policy reads. “For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running except in designated areas.”

Unfortunately, the endeavor was fruitless. If anything, Disney Park guest-caused disturbances are increasing.

Last weekend, Disneyland Resort security cast members pulled two women off of Soarin’ Over California at Disney California Adventure Park. The “loud and obnoxious” guests allegedly harassed so many fellow riders that cast members evacuated the ride to force them to leave.

Days later, two Disney influencers tried to intimidate a guest sitting in their preferred parade viewing spot on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park. One of the men reportedly threw his camera bag toward the guest and threatened her not to touch it. Luckily, the altercation didn’t escalate further and Disney security cast members weren’t involved.

This week, a Disney College Program alum spoke out about an incident they witnessed while working on the Kali River Rapids attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. According to the former cast member, a plain-clothed security team efficiently protected other employees and guests.

Redditor u/healthytuna33 suspected that the Walt Disney World Resort guest planned to stir trouble from the moment he arrived. He came to Disney’s Animal Kingdom dressed as Jim Carrey’s character in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994).

“A guy came dressed as Ace Ventura,” the former Disney cast member recalled. “Running around causing scene. Think Hawaiian shirt tutu and boots.”

The cast member heard a call for security over their radio before they spotted the imposter Ace Ventura. Moments later, two security cast members appeared and nearly-silently dragged the guest away.

“Once I saw him, two plain cloth security snagged him by elbows and took him off stage,” they wrote. “So smooth it blew my mind! Will never forget the speed and professionalism. Guy did get a mumble out in public.”

“Don’t mess with the mouse,” the former Disney cast member quipped.
