Universal Studios Orlando is making significant changes to its theme parks as the battle with Walt Disney World heats up.
At Universal Orlando Resort, thrill-seekers and movie buffs alike find themselves immersed in a world where fantasy and reality collide. With two incredible theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, as well as Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Park, Universal CityWalk, and the upcoming Epic Universe, the resort offers an unparalleled array of rides and experiences that cater to every age group and interest.

At Universal Studios Florida, visitors step into the magic of the movies, encountering iconic characters and settings brought to life through cutting-edge technology and immersive storytelling. From heart-pounding adventures like Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts to family-friendly favorites such as Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, there’s something to delight every member of the family. However, something has been missing.
One way that guests used to close out their nights at Universal Studios Florida was by enjoying the Universal Orlando Cinematic Celebration. The indefinitely closed nighttime spectacular once dazzled audiences with its breathtaking fusion of water, light, and iconic movie moments. Located at Universal Studios Florida, this show transported guests on a mesmerizing journey through decades of cinematic history, featuring beloved characters and scenes from Universal Pictures’ most memorable films. From classic blockbusters to contemporary hits, the spectacle captivated audiences with its state-of-the-art technology, including dancing fountains, vibrant projections, and pyrotechnic displays synchronized to an epic soundtrack.

Since the show closed back in 2023, Universal Orlando Resort has promised a new show and there have even been reports of drone testing to take place in the place of the show. At the time of this writing, though, we haven’t heard anything else from the company on the status of the show.
Just recently, though, @bioreconstruct shared new photos on X (formerly Twitter) that give us a look at the latest updates and construction happening on the lagoon at the iconic theme park.

Of course, Universal Studios Florida isn’t the only theme park at Universal Orlando Resort. At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, guests embark on epic journeys through themed lands inspired by beloved stories and myths.

From the spellbinding world of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where guests can wander the streets of Hogsmeade and soar above Hogwarts Castle on the groundbreaking Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, to the adrenaline-pumping thrills of Jurassic Park River Adventure, Jurassic World VelociCoaster, and the superhero action of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, the park delivers non-stop excitement at every turn.
Just recently, Universal Orlando released an exciting new video of How To Train Your Dragon– Isle of Berk, which previews what fans can expect from the immersive land when Epic Universe opens next year.
