Since the release of the last Spider-Man installment, Disney and Marvel Studios have continued to lean into expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe — creating an all-new branch for a series of upcoming projects — with movies and Disney+ original series like The Marvels (2023), Loki (2021 – 2023), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), and Echo (2024), to name a few.

However, following her disappearance from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a star from the Spider-Man trilogy has been targeted to join the cast of an upcoming blockbuster.
