Guests planning their Disney vacation will have a little more ease moving forward, especially when it comes to dining reservations, as Disney is making one big change that will help guests with their planning.

While Walt Disney World Resort has a lot of perks and magical offerings, one thing that most guests think of for months leading up to the big trip is what they are going to eat. Disney has hundreds of dining locations, all of them ranging in cuisine, style, and pricing. For some, it may be eating a churro in Magic Kingdom for their food goal; another guest might be searching for that California Grill reservation at Disney’s Contemporary Resort during fireworks — with so many new snacks being offered around the parks on a month-to-month basis, there is always something new for guests to try, even if you are visiting the parks every single week.

Snacks are typically easy to get a hold of, sometimes it may just mean you have to wait in a long line, as guests have been doing for the limited time offering of Tiana’s Famous Beignets at Golden Oak Outpost next to the under-construction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Dining reservations, on the other hand, can be quite tricky.

Dining reservations open up for each table service dining location 60 days in advance at around 6:00 a.m., which can make it tough to score your coveted reservation, especially if you are just checking for one day at a time. Now, the My Disney Experience app and the Disneyland app are both undergoing a change that will allow guests to see dining availability for 10 days in a single search!

Reporter Ashley Carter (@AshleyLCarter1) shared the news and a new Disney graphic highlighting the changes.

JUST IN: Disney World and Disneyland Resort will be updating their websites and mobile apps to add the ability to see dining availability for multiple days in a single search.

Furthermore, Disney has recently introduced the ability to view all available reservations by hour on each specific day. This enhancement allows guests to explore all their options for the day rather than being limited to a narrow time frame.

This new addition to the My Disney Experience app and Disneyland app will make vacation planning a whole lot easier, as guests will be able to see what is available during their whole stay in one shot instead of having to check day by day, which could be time-consuming. Now, it will only take one look to start mapping out what restaurants you want to book and when.

This is also helpful for guests wanting to grab a difficult-to-get reservation. Let’s say you really want to eat in Cinderella Castle at Cinderella’s Royal Table, which can be a tough reservation to grab. You check for your preferred Magic Kingdom day, and it is not popping up as available, which might be a little less magical than you had hoped. By looking at a 10-day span, if you have flexibility, you may notice that a reservation is available on a different day that you were not planning on heading to Magic Kingdom, but now, you can make a quick park-day swap and dine in the castle.

With the Disney Dining Plan also having returned, getting your favorite dining reservations is more critical now than ever.

At the moment, Disney has not yet confirmed when this new feature will roll out, but is appears that it could be any day now.
