If you spent thousands on a trip to Disney World, you likely want nothing to go wrong.

Unfortunately, that is not always the case.

When visitors embark on a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, they are in for an enchanting and action-packed vacation. They have the opportunity to explore four distinct parks, namely Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Additionally, there are two water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach, along with Disney Springs, where they can savor delectable meals at renowned restaurants such as Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ and House of Blues, while also indulging in souvenir shopping at World of Disney.

Furthermore, guests can choose from a selection of over 25 Disney resorts for their stay. Whether immersing themselves in the world of movies like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, complete with the convenience of the skyliner, or opting for the luxury of riding the monorail “home” at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the choices are truly limitless.

Over the years, The Walt Disney Company has significantly enhanced its theme park offerings, introducing new and thrilling rides and attractions for guests to relish. From the immersive Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida to the captivating Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure in California, the array of incredible and magical experiences available at every Disney park seems boundless.

However, it is no secret that a visit to Walt Disney World comes with a hefty price tag. The expenses can quickly accumulate, as spending money at Disney is remarkably effortless. Consider Walt Disney World Resort, for instance. Will you be purchasing tickets to visit Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT? Are you planning to dine at Disney Springs? Perhaps indulge in a snack like a churro at Magic Kingdom? Will you be exploring World of Disney or the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.? Spending money at Disney is so seamless it becomes nearly unavoidable.

Tickets to Disney World can reach as high as $180 per person per day, and this doesn’t even encompass the additional cost of Disney Genie+, which consistently tacks on an extra $25-$30 to each guest’s credit card. Coupled with hotel rooms priced at $800.00 per night for a two-bedroom accommodation, it becomes clear why families are looking for the perfect vacation when they visit the Mouse House.

One thing that can really throw off plans for a family is an evacuation. When many Disney guests think of evacuations at the theme parks, they associate it with ride evacuations. For example, if you are riding Haunted Mansion or Peter Pan’s Flight and the ride breaks down entirely, cast members will come around to each Doom Buggy and ship to empty the attraction safely.

While a ride evacuation may not be ideal, it is typically something that is able to be resolved rather quickly.

In other instances, guests may be evacuated from their hotel, which can pose as a much bigger issue.

In the past, we have shared multiple hotel evacuations that have taken place at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney’s Pop Century had to evacuate the resort in the middle of the night a few months ago. Thankfully, there was no real fire, and guests were safe, but their sleep schedules, on the other hand, were not.

We have also seen multiple evacuations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge due to fire alarms going off.

Now, it seems another alarm has struck on Disney properly, forcing all guests out of one of the largest EPCOT area hotels, The Swan and Dolphin Hotel.

One guest took to the internet to share, “Fire Alarm Going Off at the Dolphin Right Now… Does this happen weekly? Anyone else getting the chance to enjoy the crisp autumn air?” While the post did not state they were evacuated, we are able to conclude that all guests did leave the hotel as this poster referenced the weather outside, which they had to endure due to the alarm sounding.

Many replied to the post, assuring the guest that this is not a normal occurrence, “Does this happen weekly? No. We’ve stayed there almost a dozen times and never had a fire alarm go off.”

It was not stated what caused the fire alarm to go off, but with 2,619 guest rooms, there would have been many guests having to evacuate the resort. Luckily, no one was injured or hurt, and it appears operations have returned to the Marriott-owned hotel once again.
