So many incredible souvenirs are available at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. But as practically perfect as Disney may be, they don’t always get it right!
Guests on social media have taken to calling out Disney merchandise “fails,” like strange Mickey Mouse ears and shirts unknowingly advertising the controversial Duck Dynasty. However, some Disney fans just wish for more clothing they can wear.
Reddit user u/dark1san asked other Disney Park aficionados if they noticed a lack of merchandise bigger than a 2XL, both on shopDisney and at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort. “I find it disheartening looking for shirts in my size at shop Disney,” they wrote.
Many fans agreed and offered suggestions for non-Disney stores with plus size Disney clothing, like Box Lunch, Tommy Bahama, UNIQLO, and more. u/8ballslackz also noted that Disney’s sizing can be very hit or miss as a plus size Guest and said they wished Disney offered more fitting rooms:
sizing is super inconsistent. To be safe I went with 2X across the board and 2/4 shirts are waayyy too big on me. I’m sure it has to do with who actually manufactures the shirt, but man I would kill for a changing room.

Others said that Disney Resort hotels, Downtown Disney, and Disney Springs have a better plus size clothing selection. u/brentaltm wrote:
Very hard to find 3XL in the parks but it can be done. I bought a shirt from Pandora before and also one from World of Disney in Disney Springs.
One Disney fan, u/IamSherIocked, said they frequently order shirts for work, and supply chain issues make it difficult to find plus size clothing in general. “I can say that right now there is a shortage of lots of sizes still. Even before the supply chain issue finding 3x + was already hard to find,” they wrote.
