Credit: Disney Parks BlogAs Walt Disney World Resort rolled out the Disney Genie on the My Disney Experience app, many Guests of Disneyland have been wondering when the California theme park would receive the same treatment, as it was announced that the change would soon be coming.
Disney Genie+ will be a paid system that will charge Disneyland Guests $20.00 per person per day to utilize the Lighting Lane queue, which will be the old FastPass+ queue. Guests will be able to pick one return time at a time for select attractions and skip the lines when their turn arrives.
There will also be another option within the Disney Genie platform, allowing Guests to purchase a la carte single experience passes for more coveted attractions such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at an added cost. These rides will have their own added cost, which will differ depending on the date and attraction, and are not included in your Disney Genie+ purchase if you decide to purchase that offering as well, and the costs will move on a sliding scale depending on the time of year and date.
Today, Disneyland has begun using Disney Genie, and it seems that the prices are out for the three extra-cost Lightning Lane attractions. As we noted, these prices are sure to fluctuate, but Rise of the Resistance seems to already be at its max price!

It was interesting to note that Disney Genie+ would be $5.00 more expensive at Disneyland when the pricing first came out, but now, we can see that Rise of the Resistance is also more expensive on the west coast, as well. Be sure to always check the Disneyland App to have the most up-to-date attraction wait times.
