Disney No Longer Accepting Negative COVID Tests For Travel

It’s fantastic to see Disney Parks returning, international borders open, and tourism finally heading towards normal after the pandemic.

The return of Disney magic since the pandemic has seen many changes implemented to ensure Guest and Cast Member safety.

Guests have encountered changes to operations, policies, and in-Park experiences, and now Disney has changed another rule for its Guests.

Like the rest of the Walt Disney Company, Adventures By Disney was impacted by closures and cancellations during the pandemic. With travel now resuming worldwide, Adventures by Disney is getting travelers back in a safe manner.

If you have missed traveling during the pandemic, especially the joy Disney brings to you and your family, then imagine being able to travel the world AND experience Disney magic at the same time.

Adventures By Disney does just that on each of its incredible tours around multiple countries, and recently announced new destinations including the Arctic and the Galapagos Islands.

Disney Cruise Line this week announced that all vaccine-eligible Guests ages 5 and older should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of sailing for trips beginning on and after January 13, 2022.

Now, Adventures by Disney have revealed that all Guests must provide proof of vaccination and that negative COVID-19 tests will no longer be accepted:

For departures beginning on or after January 12, 2022, all Guests must provide proof of being fully vaccinated before joining any trip. For departures beginning on or after January 12, 2022, proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result will no longer be accepted as an alternative.

Additionally, all Adventures By Disney Guests must be fully vaccinated before joining any trip, or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within five days prior to the start of the trip for adventures departing prior to January 12, 2022:

For departures before January 12, 2022, all Guests must be fully vaccinated before joining any trip, or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 5 days prior to the start of the trip. Certain destinations may require COVID-19 vaccination due to country entry requirements. Adventures by Disney requires all Guests to be fully vaccinated for travel to countries identified as Level 3 in the CDC’s Travel Recommendations.

In consideration of guidance from the CDC, Adventures by Disney accepts the following vaccine types: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and AstraZeneca.

Adventures by Disney goes on to write:

All Guests sailing with Adventures by Disney on a river cruise regardless of departure date will need to show proof of vaccination in accordance with AmaWaterways vaccination requirements that requires anyone on board their ships to be vaccinated. During the trip, Guests will be required to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms daily. Adventure Guides will include health and safety reminders specific to each day’s itinerary in daily briefings.
