Yesterday, Disney Parks announced that Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland park will close next year for reimagining, which will open in 2023 and include all new experiences. Though many Disney fans are excited for the reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown, they do have one request for Disneyland — to keep Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin!

Not long ago, Disney announced that Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin will be getting a revamp, with a new storyline focusing on Jessica Rabbit. According to Disney, Jessica Rabbit will become the new private eye in Mickey’s ToonTown to put a stop to those weasels in Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin once and for all. Though, we do want to note that at the time of publication, there has been no date announced as to exactly when this will take place.

Now that Disney has announced Mickey’s Toontown will close in March 2022 for a reimagining, fans are hoping that Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin will stay.

Inside the Magic Facebook follower, Omar E. commented:

Better leave roger rabbit alone

And another Facebook follower, Sean E., echoed a similar thought:

I didn’t see any mention of Roger Rabbit‘s Cartoon Spin in this press release. I wonder if that’s going to be removed in this complete re-do?

Disney fan, Jessica G., also mentioned Roger Rabbit, commenting on our article stating:

I really hope they keep Roger Rabbit

At this time, Disney has not announced if Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin will stay, but with Disney already announcing a revamp of the attraction, we suspect that the attraction will remain inside Disneyland park. Inside the Magic will update you as we get information.

In the meantime, we can look forward other exciting experiences coming to the reimagined Mickey’s Toontown, including CenTOONial Park, which will act as the first space Guests see when they enter the area and will be home to two interactive play experiences.

J.R. expressed their excitement for the reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown, writing:

Awesome! It’s certainly ready!!

While Lillian N. commented:

I was in Toontown in 1993 during my 7th birthday when it was brand new. While it’s always hard to say goodbye to what we know, it is also always exciting to see what comes next.

And Jillian P. actually wishes Mickey’s Toontown would come back to Walt Disney World, writing:

They need to bring back Toontown to Disney World!

ITM fan Stephanie S. agreed with Jillian, writing:

I wish toontown would come back to Disney world

And for those of you wondering about exactly who you will see in the reimagined Mickey’s Toontown, don’t worry because Disney confirmed that Mickey’s Toontown will still be home to many beloved characters including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and more!

The current version of Mickey’s Toontown will close in March of 2022 so Imagineers can begin working on these all-new experiences.
