Disney Announces Line-Up of Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade

DISNEY PARKS MAGICAL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION - (Monday, Dec. 25, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. EST, 9:00-11:00 a.m. CST/MST/PST; airtimes vary, check listings, on The ABC Television Network and on the ABC app) - This Christmas, Disney Parks celebrates the joy of the holiday season, as hosts Julianne Hough and Nick Lachey take viewers on a magical ride down Main Street, U.S.A. and beyond. Co-hosted by Jesse Palmer, the Christmas Day celebration will be brighter than ever before, bringing together the beloved Christmas Day parade, magical musical performances, surprise celebrity guests and heartwarming family stories to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Disney Parks has just announced that the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will return for the 2021 season!

Derek and Julianne Hough will host the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade from Walt Disney World Resort, while Freeform’s Trevor Jackson (grown-ish) and Sherry Cola (Good Trouble) will host from the Disneyland Resort.

In addition to the iconic Christmas parade, viewers will also be able to watch musical performances including:

  • Derek Hough and Julianne Hough – “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”
  • Jimmie Allen – “White Christmas”
  • Kristin Chenoweth – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”
  • Darren Criss – “Christmas Dance”
  • Meg Donnelly – “Jingle Bell Rock”
  • Brett Eldredge – “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”
  • Norah Jones – “Run Rudolph Run”
  • Pentatonix – “I Saw Three Ships”
  • Gwen Stefani – “Cheer for the Elves”

But that’s not all because viewers watching Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will also have a chance to see exclusive sneak peaks. Per Disney Parks Blog:

Both holiday specials will sparkle with holiday cheer, offering heartwarming moments and exclusive sneak peeks at what’s new around The Walt Disney Company. Viewers can look forward to a sneak peek at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, opening March 1, 2022, at Walt Disney World Resort; a trip on board the all-new Disney Wish from Disney Cruise Line; and special looks at Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” and Steven Spielberg’s new film “West Side Story.” As part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, commemorating 50 years of Walt Disney World Resort, every touch of holiday magic will be an extra special, EARidescent treat.

The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will air on Saturday, December 25, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. It will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
