If you are a fan of Super Mario and the world of Nintendo, you are likely looking forward to the new Super Mario film titled The Super Mario Bros. that is currently in development.

The film movie is being created in conjunction with Illumination, which is owned by NBCUniversal. The company is known for other projects such as Despicable Me, Minions, Sing, and The Secret Life of Pets. The film will be animated, and the cast is as follows:
- Chris Pratt as Mario
- Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach
- Charlie Day as Luigi
- Jack Black as Bowser
- Keegan-Michael Key as Toad
- Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong
- Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong
- Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek
- Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike
- Surprise cameos from Charles Martinet

Because Super Mario is such an iconic character that so many of us have grown up with through various video game iterations of the plumber and his pals, his voice has become an iconic aspect of the character. After Pratt was announced as the voice of the role, many were wondering what direction the film would take in terms of the voice.
Now, it seems that the producers love Pratt’s voice; however, it will be different from the voice we know and love. Culture Crave (@culturecrave) Tweeted:

For now, we will have to wait and see what that “phenomenal” voice sounds like. If you are a fan of Super Nintendo, you can actually visit the Nintendo world! The first Super Nintendo World is in Universal Studios Japan, and it is already opened for Guests to enjoy. The next is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, and construction is moving quickly, but no opening date for the land has been set yet. Universal Orlando Resort will have Super Nintendo World added to Epic Universe once it is created, and Universal Studios Singapore also has the land in the works.

It will be interesting to see if the film is implemented into the Universal theme parks once the movie premieres.
Chris Pratt has done a ton of work with Universal, and is currently in the pre-show for Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure. He is known for starring in Parks and Recreation as well as Marvel films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Universal’s Jurassic World (2015), and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).
Are you ok with Super Mario not having the same voice that you heard in all of the Nintendo video games?
