Disney+ Day brought with it a plethora of new movies, specials, and even magical events within Disney Parks. The two-year anniversary celebrations saw the streaming debut of one of Marvel Studios’ more recent feature films, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).
For one viewer, a certain scene stood out and they took to Twitter to divulge their thoughts on the Master of Kung Fu’s transportation fistfight.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton’s Marvel Comics adaptation of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings debuted at the beginning of September exclusively in theaters. This move came in the wake of Scarlett Johansson’s lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company after Black Widow (2021) was released in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access at the same time.
Starring Simu Liu in the title role, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ predominantly Asian cast also stars Awkwafina (Katy), Tony Leung (Xu Wenwu AKA The Mandarin), Ronny Chieng (Jon Jon), Michelle Yeoh (Ying Nan), Meng’er Zhang (Xu Xialing), Fala Chen (Li), and Ben Kingsley (Trevor Slattery), as well as Doctor Strange‘s (2016) Benedict Wong (Wong). The film also sees a cameo appearance from The Incredible Hulk‘s (2008) Abomination, played by Tim Roth.

With a story spanning years, the arrival of new heroes, and cameos of old favorites, Shang-Chi’s entry into the Marvel Universe was a commercial success, shattering box office expectations and winning big at the domestic box office over its four-day opening weekend. As part of Disney+ Day, which also saw the free streaming release of Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’s Jungle Cruise, among other Disney projects, Shang-Chi was made available for all users on the Disney streamer.

One particular scene, that was teased in the Marvel movie’s trailer, was a fight on a moving bus, eventually driven by Awkwafina’s Katy, and it is this specific sequence that has caused a real-life bus driver to weigh in on Kevin Feige’s recent film. The scene concerns Liu’s Shang-Chi fighting a group of aggressors, mainly Florian Munteanu’s Razor Fist.
Taking to Twitter, Mack (@that_mc), shared a thread concerning “The Bus Scene”, subsequently going viral on social media as he roasted the Marvel movie.
As a bus operator, this is the moment I pop my parking brake on and open the doors.

With a still of a bus passenger filming the physical altercation between hero and villain, the following tweet reads:

The Twitter user then begins their account of the sequence of events following Razor Fist — or “Energy sword arm man” — slicing through the brakes.
Our bus operator, played by Michael-Anthony Taylor, discovers his service brake isn’t working. He’s mashing on the treadle (pedal) and not stopping. That’s terrible! And he’s wearing earphones. That’s terrible. He definitely could be charged with an avoidable incident by SFT.

After a quick tangent on the various modes of brakes on a public bus, a subsequent tweet points out a significant bus driver error:
When bus operators want to know what’s going on inside our passenger area, we look in the mirror up top, not over our shoulder

As the fight between Shang-Chi and Razor Fist intensifies, the bus driver suffers an injury:
Operator wasn’t even wearing a seat belt! Workmans Comp not going to cover this. Also: Fall on Board

After the bus driver is injured, Shang-Chi takes the wheel before handing it over to Katy while he continues his fight with explosive martial arts. A tweet comments on the driving skills:
This is top quality bus driving. Also get the line “Every time I try to drive a bus I get yelled at” which a) lol and b) that’s just being a bus operator. We get yelled at whenever we try to drive a bus too.

DON’T LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER WHILE DRIVING! The hazards are ahead of you. Aim High in Steering, everyone.

As for the future of Shang-Chi, and the potential new Avenger, a sequel is reportedly already in the works for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This Phase 4 movie joins Black Widow, Chloé Zhao’s Eternals (2021), and the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) as this year’s latest MCU feature film releases — with a whole load more Marvel movies coming in the next two years.
