Halloween Time is currently in full swing at the Disneyland Resort, and with that comes Disneyland’s annual Halloween party — Oogie Boogie Bash. Oogie Boogie Bash takes place on select nights at Disney California Adventure Park and runs from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. During that time, Guests can trick-or-treat, interact with Villains, walk through special areas like Villains Grove, buy specialty merchandise, and ride some of the most popular rides at the park.
One of those attractions is the newest Disneyland Resort ride — WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. WEB SLINGERS is part of Avengers Campus, which just opened in June 2021. During regular theme park hours, WEB SLINGERS is only available to ride if Guests get a boarding group through the Disneyland app. Boarding groups are released at 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. daily. Boarding groups are given on a first-come-first-serve basis and once they are gone, they are gone.
However, during Oogie Boogie Bash, all Guests attending the party can ride WEB SLINGERS without a boarding group — and Oogie Boogie Bash attendees are taking big advantage of that. Just 10 minutes after the party on September 16 started, the wait time for WEB SLINGERS was nearly an hour.
For most of the night, the queue for WEB SLINGERS nearly never got under 40 minutes — but there was a time when the attraction did break down and was unavailable for about an hour. But the queue quickly went back up once the ride reopened.
Now, the cost of a ticket to Oogie Boogie Bash is well over $100, and WEB SLINGERS can be ridden by any Guest with a boarding group during the Park’s regular operating hours. So, it does seem slightly surprising that many Guests would choose to spend nearly 20% of their Party time standing in line waiting to ride an attraction. However, many Guests may have attended the party merely based on the fact that attraction lines throughout the Park would be shorter than during normal hours.
Oogie Boogie Bash will continue to run on select nights until Halloween Time ends at Disneyland Resort on October 31. Oogie Boogie Bash began in 2019 and was an immediate hit. All tickets to this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash are sold out, but tickets to Disneyland’s other brand-new after-hours event, Merriest Nites remain available at this time.
