We are just days away from the start of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary! Kicking off on October 1, 2021, and running for 18 months, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” will bring magic to Guests like never before.
As we inch closer to October 1, we have seen Disney Imagineers and construction workers getting the Parks ready for this big milestone.

We recently reported on Disney sprucing up the Tangled area as well as select attractions in Magic Kingdom to ensure every aspect is in tip-top shape prior to the 50th anniversary beginning. But now, as bioreconstruct on Twitter points out, another part of Magic Kingdom is looking a bit dismal.
Per bioreconstruct:

Another Twitter user, OnDre Hartigan, actually pointed out that it looks like sealer was applied rather than the pavement weathering:
That’s not wear. It’s improperly applied sealer which was apparently applied while temporary posts were in place. Once it’s power washed and resealed (after the concrete surface is actually dry) this will look normal.

Brian Schwab also Tweeted something similar:
Looks like they have ground the sure, in preparation to apply a coating. You can see round swirl patterns.

Hopefully, after a bit of Florida rain, this apparent sealer will disappear, and the pavement will once again be good as new.
