Despite it being the start of a holiday weekend, Disney World looks to be abandoned as we are seeing low wait times on My Disney Experience.
Today is technically the start of Labor Day weekend, which normally draws many Guests to Walt Disney World as a majority of people have off of work. However, with that being said, it seems as though this year is a bit different as many of the wait times posted are less than 20-minutes.
In fact, just a little while after the theme parks opened, no ride posted a wait time longer than 50-minutes!
For starters, at 9:40 a.m., many rides were a 5-minute wait including The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Splash Mountain, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Tomorrowland Speedway, and more as seen in the screenshots below.
Other rides posted a 10-minute wait including Haunted Mansion, Alien Swirling Saucers, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Pirates of the Caribbean, and others.
Tower of Terror had a 15-minute wait, Space Mountain and Toy Story Mania! had a 20-minute wait, and Peter Pan’s Flight had a 25-minute wait.
The highest wait time at the time of publication was for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which each had a 50-minute wait.
We reported that earlier this week, Walt Disney World looked abandoned as there were barely any crowds or high wait times across all four theme parks, which you can read more about here. We also reported on how during a recent trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we were met with an extremely rare sight — an empty Flight of Passage queue!
It is important to keep in mind that wait times will continue to change throughout the day and for the most up-to-date information, make sure you download the My Disney Experience app to your smartphone.
If you are visiting Walt Disney World in the near future, be sure to familiarize yourself with the current safety protocols as the theme parks have continued to modify the rules and regulations.
