As many already know, Disney’s Magical Express, despite being one of the best parts when arriving at Orlando International Airport, is coming to an end.

The complementary mode of transportation brought magic to Guests before they even arrived at Walt Disney World property; however, this service will no longer be offered at the start of 2022. Per Disney:

Disney’s Magical Express service will no longer be offered starting with arrivals January 1, 2022. The service will continue to operate for new and existing reservations made at Disney Resort hotels for arrivals throughout 2021.

Even though Disney’s Magical Express is ending, Guests were not hesitating to use the service for as long as they still could. In fact, earlier this year, we reported on long wait times and crowds at Magical Express in Orlando International Airport. Now, however, it seems that crowds are disappearing as we approach the end of Magical Express.

One Reddit user, chaoticneurotic123, said they got to the line at 10 a.m. and found the service to move really fast. “We were at the Polynesian by 11:05 a.m.,” the user wrote.

Another user, DisneyAddict1989, broke down their entire Magical Express bus trip:

I actually wrote down the times when I went on 8/5! I was going to the Polynesian (MK line)

I got to Magical express and 2 people were in front of me. They scanned my magic band and I walked right on to a bus.

Got on at 2:15PM and the bus took off at 2:23PM! (8 minute wait)

The route was announced to be

  • Old Key West
  • Wilderness Lodge
  • Polynesian
  • Grand Floridian

Arrival times at each resort

  • Old key west: 2:54
  • Wilderness lodge: 3:02
  • Polynesian: 3:11
  • Grand Floridian last stop

All in all I got from Magical Express to the Polynesian in just under an hour!

And Reddit user Chihuahuagoddess explained that even on a holiday weekend, they still found low wait times!

We arrived on a holiday weekend, Saturday July 3rd probably around 10:30 am and got in the pop century line. I think we waited about 15-20 mins for a bus to arrive and we were the last ones to board that bus. I guess we got a bit lucky being able to board the bus that had showed up.

At this time, Disney has not announced a complementary replacement for Magical Express, but Inside the Magic will update you as we get information.
