Disney World is bringing the holidays back into the theme parks, and we cannot be more excited as special holiday fireworks are also returning!
Last year, the holiday offerings at Disney World were few and far between due to the pandemic. Now, Disney World has taken major steps forward to return to a more normal state of operations. Fireworks are back at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, mask mandates are nearly gone for fully vaccinated Guests and Cast Members (aside from wearing them while on Disney Transportation), social distancing is being phased out, and capacity has increased.
When the Boo Bash After Hours event was announced, many were sad to hear that this event would not include specialty Halloween fireworks, as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party typically did. Now, we have confirmation that the holiday season will also follow in the After Hours trend bringing Disney Very Merriest After Hours to the theme park.
However, there will be a big difference between the Halloween and Christmas seasons, as Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will light up the night sky during the holidays!
This will be the first time we see specialty fireworks at Walt Disney World since the 2019 Christmas season, so it is a big deal and a huge step for Disney to give Guests a more “normal” Disney World experience. It also helps Guests who may be debating if the event is worth it, sway in the direction of yes as fireworks are a huge pull for many.
Plus, for those who were upset to see Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party not returning for the second year in a row, these fireworks are sure to soften the blow and remind Guests of the party.
Minnie Mouse is our host, inviting everyone to come together in a celebration of the magic of Christmas. The sky fills with fireworks, as we’re swept up in medleys of beloved holiday songs, from “Joy to the World” and “Deck the Halls” to “Up on the House Top” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” The music of the show evokes heartfelt moments of home and family, as well as the festive fun of the season, all building to an incredible finale.
Does having Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks make you more likely to purchase a ticket for Disney Very Merriest After Hours?
