Now that the Disneyland Resort has reopened, you have likely noticed some changes in the way the Resort operates. One of those is the reduced hours.
Before the pandemic, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure were typically open late, closing at midnight, or even later, but once the theme parks reopened after its lengthy closure, the theme parks have not stayed open as late.
The good news is that slowly but surely, the parks are returning to those hours of operation.
Disneyland will now be open until 11 p.m for most days in August — a trend we hope to see continue into September — while Disney California Adventure will be open until 10 p.m. Both offering plenty of time for Guests to have flexible schedules and Park Hop during their visit.
You can see the hours here on the Disneyland website.
Starting on August 15, Disneyland Park will begin closing at 11 p.m instead of 10 p.m. You can see that this continues through the end of August in the screenshot below.
You may be wondering what else is new at the Disneyland Resort? Disneyland is gearing up for Halloween — and the 2021 celebrations will be frighteningly fun. Disney California Adventure will once again be hosting Oogie Boogie Bash. If you are interested in Oogie Boogie Bash, be sure that you grab tickets soon as the event is selling out.
If Oogie Boogie Bash is not your thing, not to worry! Over at Disneyland Park, they will be showing Halloween Screams, which is a special Halloween fireworks show. You can read more details about Halloween Screams here.
While the parks will be open later, you will still need an additional ticket to attend Oogie Boogie Bash. Halloween Screams will show during normal park hours, meaning you will not need an additional ticket.
Downtown Disney is also open to Guests, visiting Downtown Disney does not require a ticket or advanced online reservation.
