Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were first introduced to Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang/Ant-Man six years ago — on June 29, 2015. Since then, Ant-Man has made appearances in a number of other Marvel films, including Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Even though the film is celebrating its sixth birthday, the superhero is trending on Twitter for a different reason — and it is a strange one. Twitter user The OG KD (@KevinDr_ver) asked a question that set off one heck of a debate:

Which one of the Avengers would be MAGA and why is it Ant Man?

The simple question quickly set off a large debate, with most users vehemently disagreeing with the original post — saying that Scott Lang would be one of the last people to be affiliated with the often controversial political opinions held by certain supporters of former President Donald Trump.

We’re Skroob (@pseudonymble) had a strong opinion about which Marvel super heroes would fall into this particular category:

No way. It’s either Hawkeye, the bowhunter pretending to be a superhero, or Iron Man, the “self-made with daddy’s money” billionaire who spent his way to the top.

Official Otaku (@jaredcid1) looked at the posed question from a platform standpoint and shared his view:

Its actually between iron man and yellow jacket since they would likely support trump’s tax cuts and Black panther because he would support trump’s strict border policies

Other users were quick to point out that they did not think that the original poster had ever even seen the movie — which he should in honor of the film’s anniversary!

One of those users was Curtis Vaccinated Geriatric Wakanda MCU counselor (@Currtis25Harr):

What you mean to say is I’ve never watched an MCU film so I’m just going to spit ball a character to get content and call them Maga. Wtf?

Lia (@kyLauvly) shared that sentiment and posed her own question:

Tell me you didn’t watch Ant Man without telling me you didn’t watch Ant Man.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently in production and was recently spotted filming in San Francisco.
