When Disneyland reopened on April 30, there were a lot of big changes that happened at the Happiest Place on Earth. There were no fireworks, no parades, socially distanced character interactions, no FASTPASS or MaxPass option, and no Single Rider lines.

In the weeks since April 30, capacity has been increased, mask mandates have been lifted, fireworks will be returning for the Fourth of July, and now, Single Rider lines have returned! All Guests are allowed to enter the Single Rider line, even with they are with a group of people, but they must be aware that they may not be able to ride with their party.

The Orange County Register is reporting that Single Rider lines have once again opened up to those Guests who wish to use them.
Single rider lines returned today, June 26 at Disneyland and DCA. State guidelines discouraged the use of single-rider lines when theme parks initially reopened starting April 1 because they were “likely inconsistent with physical distancing,” but capacity limits and social distancing requirements were lifted June 15.
Single rider lines are once again available for Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Star Tours and Splash Mountain at Disneyland.
Single riders can hop on Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster and Grizzly River Run at DCA.

The Disneyland website informs Guests of several caveats when it comes to using the Single Rider system at the theme park.
- Immediate boarding or choice of seat is not guaranteed.
- Single Riders must meet all boarding requirements.
- Special seating requests may not be accommodated.
- Participating attractions and wait times may vary.
- This service is subject to availability.

Single Rider lines have become increasingly popular as Guests do not want to wait in long Standby queues. Groups who do not mind experiencing the attraction without sitting next to each other frequently use the Single Rider line to expedite their waiting time.
With the reinstatement of Disneyland’s Single Rider lines, the Happiest Place on Earth is following in the steps of its East Coast counterpart. Disney World reopened its Single Rider lines on June 18.
