As we have seen this week, many Disneyland fans have been excited to return to the parks. The State of California officially reopened on June 15, eliminating many pandemic restrictions, including face mask requirements for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Now, fully vaccinated Guests have been thoroughly enjoying attractions, shops, and all that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have to offer without masks.

At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, many changes towards normalcy have also been noticed around our beloved Star Wars-inspired land. Not only has Oga’s Cantina begun its soft opening, but Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is looking like its old self again!

Good news for the Rise of the Resistance attraction

As part of the new guidelines set in California this week, Disney has eliminated social distancing markers and removed plexiglass on many Disneyland attractions, including Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy’s Edge!

Theme park reporter The Cali Bae on Instagram could not wait to share the good news that Guests can now get a better view as they fight alongside the Resistance:

No more plexiglass on Rise Of The Resistance ?????

Chewbacca’s new location

Another Instagrammer, Spencer, let all his followers know that Chewie was back on Batuu in Disneyland! Maskless and waiting in line to ride Millennium Falcon – Smugglers Run, Spencer shared that Chewbacca can now be spotted doing some maintenance work on the Falcon and interacting with Guests inside Galaxy’s Edge:

Oga’s Cantina

Attention weary travelers! On June 17, Star Wars fans will unite and celebrate the return of Oga’s Cantina! Get your fill of Jedi Mind Tricks and Fuzzy Tontons and enjoy some galactic-inspired music courtesy of droid DJ R-3X. Guests are encouraged to check availability on the official Disneyland website or Disneyland app before heading to the all-ages bar as seats and standing areas are limited.

Yesterday, during the soft opening of Oga’s Cantina, Guests were stunned to see stormtroopers enter the bar ready to interrogate! Check out the video here!
