Credit: DisneyReturning July 1, 2021, EPCOT Forever will soar overhead at the Community of Tomorrow. Not unlike Broadway or a feature show at Walt Disney World Resort, fireworks shows must undergo rehearsals and testing. Disney World Resort Guests staying in the EPCOT area were treated to a midnight session last night as Imagineers and Cast Members worked to perfect the show.
EPCOT Forever has been surprising us a few nights in the last month as testing for Walt Disney World’s return of nightly fireworks comes on July 1. Rehearsals have been booming overhead unannounced, which makes for a wonderful late-night surprise for those staying in the area. This exact scenario played out for those staying on Crescent Lake, like the Guests Staying at Disney’s Yacht Club below.
Endless Summer blended together clips of EPCOT Forever seen from the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel (owned and operated by Marriott) to show us the great lit sky they saw just a few nights ago. Here’s their vantage point of the Disney fireworks rehearsal.
Twitter user J’Tia (handle of @JTiaPHd) picked up on her extra perk of staying in the EPCOT Resort area last night! Watching from her Resort hotel Disney’s Resort Yacht Club, J’Tia commented, “Unexpected perk of resort stay! Midnight fireworks show at Epcot. Thanks, Walt Disney World!”
You can see quite a bit of firepower rising up over the International Gateway treeline, and I expect in the stillness of the night, between the booms, classic EPCOT tunes may be heard!

The Walt Disney World website describes EPCOT Forever as “Magical Memories to a Fabulous Future!” Be aware that shows may be canceled due to inclement weather, but the interim show will run until October 1 when HarmonioUS will begin in the World Showcase Lagoon.
