Doctor Strange Welcomes Guests to the Ancient Sanctum - Inside the Magic

It seems as though Guests have been waiting years for Avengers Campus to open — and they technically have, since the land was announced at the 201y D23 Expo. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the opening back even further, it seemed as though it would never get here. Well, the day finally arrived, and with the opening of Avengers Campus comes some out-of-this-world experiences.

One of the amazing new experiences available allows Guests to enter the Ancient Sanctum where they may be able to meet the superhero himself — Doctor Stephen Strange. Disney describes the experience that Guests can expect.

At the site of Ancient Sanctum, deep in the heart of Avengers Campus, guests may encounter the  Master of Mystic Arts himself, Doctor Strange. From time to time, Doctor Strange steps forth  through an inter-dimensional portal to engage guests with illusions, sorcery and tales to astonish  from his collection of mysterious relics. He may even bring other heroes as he opens the portals,  from time to time. At night, the Ancient Sanctum glows even more vividly with majestic colors and  lights, pulsating with mystic energy. 

In the week that Avengers Campus has been open, the Dr. Strange experience seems to be one of the most popular shows in the new land, with fans waiting up to a couple of hours for a front-row viewing of the exciting show.

In order to guarantee themselves a good spot, crowds will line up as they wait to see Dr. Stephen Strange traveling through a portal and into Avengers Campus, so make sure you get there early.

While Disneyland did not let Guests know what times Doctor Strange would be greeting Guests when the land opened, it has since updated the Disneyland Mobile App, and showtimes can now be found daily.

What makes this show even more exhilarating is that you never know who will show up during the show. Yes, Doctor Strange will be the star, but there is a chance that he will call on other Avengers to join him — so you may see the God of Thunder himself, Thor, or any other hero in the MCU.

The adventure never ends at Avengers Campus!
