In Anaheim, California, the Disneyland Resort is slowly getting back to a new “normal.” Now, with face masks requirements and physical distancing practices relaxing, and with news that fireworks will be returning to Disneyland Park on July 4, Park hours are being extended too!
As of June 15, face masks are no longer required indoors/outdoors at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, or the Downtown Disney District for vaccinated Guests.
Early Tuesday morning, Disney officially announced the return of nighttime spectaculars to the Walt Disney World Resort (Happily Ever After) and Disneyland Resort (Mickey’s Mix Magic) in July!
July Park Hours
Coinciding with Mickey’s Mix Magic coming back to Disneyland on July 4, the Resort has extended its Park hours to allow more time at the Happiest Place on Earth.
July 1 through July 5
To give you an idea of the Disneyland Resort’s operating hours in July, all hours are as follows:
- Disneyland Park: 8:00 a.m. to 1o:00 p.m.
- Disney California Adventure Park: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
According to the official Disneyland website, July 1 marks Disneyland Park’s hours returning to an 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. schedule, with Disney California Adventure Park closing one hour before Disneyland at 9:00 p.m.
We see California Adventure operating from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. throughout the month, going back to its practice of closing one hour before Disneyland Park does.
July 4 through July 17
When Disneyland initially reopened on April 30, Disneyland proper remained open until 7:00 p.m. (major bummer!). Not all Cast Members were fully back at the Resort to help fill essential positions that allow the parks to remain open for longer periods of time.
July 18 through July 27
While the Disneyland website does not yet list operating hours for July 28 through the 31st, we’ll probably see Disneyland continue these hours throughout the rest of its summer season.

Now, with Orange County and Los Angeles, California, coming out of their reopening tier systems (along with the rest of the state) and with these world-famous Disney Parks able to welcome more Guests at a higher capacity beginning June 15, Disney is bumping Disneyland’s hours back to 10:00 p.m. starting in July.
In what felt like the first time in forever, Guests visiting the Happiest Place on Earth in Southern California are once again experiencing some normalcy in their lives.
You can hop on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland without worrying about popping on a mask, stroll through Mickey’s Toontown till the famous Disney park closes, or enjoy new treats at the Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square without a care in the world once again.
Grab your ticket and reservation for Disneyland this summer and enjoy the magic with your favorite Disney characters walking around the parks and celebrate the return of fireworks!
