Disney World finally has a castle that has stepped up to compete with Cinderella Castle — and it is the home of the popular film, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004).
After 50 years without a presence in Florida, the largest White Castle in the world has been built near Disney in O-Town West, leaving Orlando residents and Disney World Guests able to experience the fan-favorite fast food chain whenever they would like! The location is set to open on May 3, giving Guests the option to sit indoors or outside on their massive patio, while enjoying their delicious sliders at a modest cost.
If you are planning a Disney World vacation shortly, you may also be planning what you will be eating. One of the best aspects about deciding to come to Disney World is being able to plan where you will stay, what you will ride, and especially, where you will eat, as Disney World has hundreds of dining locations to offer across the property.
That being said, Guests often do not account for those late-night munchies that may occur after a long day at EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
If your Disney Resort has a quick-service option remaining open, you can join the rest of the hungry and exhausted Guests in a long line. But, what if the food at your resort is no longer available? Or, perhaps you just want something a little more affordable while being equally (or, in my opinion, even more) delicious than a Disney burger?
Well, soon, White Castle will be an option! Inside the Magic spoke with White Castle Vice-President Jamie Richardson, who discussed what options will be available to Disney World Guests who want to experience two castles in one vacation. When White Castle opens, the location will only be available until 1:00 a.m. for Guests who would like to drive or Uber to the location. Eventually, however, a 24-hour delivery service will be available.
Several months ago, a ghost kitchen in Downtown Orlando opened on Uber Eats for the location, and although the delivery radius was small and did not include Disney World, the demand was extremely high, and the location closed after two weeks.
To ensure that White Castle Orlando can handle the demand this time, they are opening in phases. We discussed whether or not Uber Eats will be available to Guests once they open to a 24-hour schedule, and if that delivery radius would extend to Disney World property for Guests to order White Castle to their resort.
Richardson mentioned that although the service will not yet be available on May 3, “ultimately the goal is to be on Uber Eats and deliver to Disney World property”, as well as the surrounding area.
We did not receive exact radius options, as that will be something White Castle will have to decide. However, it is exciting to hear that the location plans to ensure Disney World fits in that realm! Plus, having a delicious food option that is only minutes away from the property available 24 hours a day on Uber Eats will be the ultimate solution to those late-night munchies!
Would you Uber Eats White Castle to your Disney World Resort?
