Could Disney World be gearing up to bring Hoop-Dee-Doo back to Guests? Another sign is indicating this as a possibility!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a popular dinner show located at Fort Wilderness at Walt Disney World. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, Pioneer Hall has not been able to host Guests and in fall 2020, the cast of Hoop-Dee-Doo, were, unfortunately, laid off.
The good news is that not long ago, we reported Disney may have recalled some of the cast of the Hoop-Dee-Doo. This could be an indication that they are getting ready to reopen the dinner show to Guests, though nothing was confirmed at the time. Then, just a few weeks later, Walt Disney World filed a permit for construction at Pioneer Hall, also indicating that they may be thinking about bringing the show back.
Though the permit does not give a lot of detail, we do know that it is for the address of Pioneer Hall and is for “general conditions”, which really could mean anything. It is possible that Disney is continuing to file these permits to ensure that the building is ready to welcome back Guests whenever the time is right, however, this is pure speculation at this point in time.
We also know that Walt Disney World is continuing it’s phased reopening as the theme parks have made many modifications to the safety protocols put into place as well as continue to bring back live shows, such as Festival of the Lion King — currently operating as a slightly modified version and called A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King — at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Therefore, bringing Hoop-Dee-Doo back to Guests could be another part in Disney World’s phased reopening.
Inside the Magic will continue to update you as we get information regarding Hoop-Dee-Doo at Disney World.
