So, if you want to visit the theme park after it reopens and you have not yet purchased a ticket, the earliest you can visit is Wednesday, April 21.

Reservations for the special Pass Member Preview Day, as well as additional “Bonus Days,” began on April 5, and there were a considerable amount of hiccups that made it impossible for some Pass Members to get tickets until the following day.

A couple of days later, Universal Studios Hollywood announced that they would begin selling new Annual and Season Passes, to the delight of many Universal fans.

They shared on Twitter:

To all our current Pass Members, THANK YOU!

To the new Pass Members joining the fam tomorrow when select passes go on sale, welcome to the party!

Currently, Guests wishing to visit the park have the option to buy a California Resident one-day pass, a Silver Annual Pass, or a Gold Annual Pass. When the Guests pick which pass they would like to purchase, they must then decide which day they would like to visit the park and have their pass begin. The first day available to pick is April 21.

It should be noted that Guests who purchase an Annual Pass can pick any day they would like for their passes to begin, but will not be able to fully use them until May 17, that is when “Bonus Days” for Pass Members who had Annual and Seasonal Passes before the COVID-19 shutdown officially end.

As of right now, due to California theme park COVID Guidelines, only California residents will be able to purchase tickets and visit the park. There is no date as to when the California resident rule will end. Universal Studios says on their website:

Until further notice, ticket purchases are limited to California residents only. We continue to work in partnership with health and government officials to adhere to guidelines and implement new health and safety procedures, and will provide any updates as soon as they become available.

Guests visiting Universal Hollywood will be able to have two new amazing experiences. Jurassic World: The Ride has added a new dinosaur to the final scene of their popular water ride.

There will also be a brand-new attraction, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash. The ride was scheduled to open last March, but could not due to the park shutdown. The ride will take Guests inside Max’s New York City world where you can meet all of his friends, including Gidget!

Guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood must also abide by Universal’s health and safety measures, which include face masks for all Guests, mandatory temperature screening, and social distancing within the park, as well as on rides.

Will you be visiting Universal Studios Hollywood when it reopens? Or will you wait? Let us know in the comments!
