Universal Studios Hollywood has just announced the reopening of the theme park on April 16! After a year of the park being closed due to the pandemic, this is truly welcome news for Universal fans.
But the news only gets better — if you are a Universal Studios Hollywood Pass Member, you have the chance to preview the theme park a day before the grand opening!

Universal Studios Hollywood Pass Members
This news is coming straight from Universal Studios Hollywood who said that both seasonal Pass Members and Annual Pass Members will be able to preview the park a day before it opens!
You can head to the official Universal Studios Hollywood Pass Member page for more information. We also anticipate more details to come out over the next few days.
If you can’t make it on the preview day of the grand reopening of Universal Studios Hollywood, don’t worry — Universal is also giving Pass Members bonus days to visit the park:
The theme park will also celebrate Annual and Season Pass Members—who will be among the first to visit—with a series of complimentary Bonus Days on select days from Thursday, April 15 through Sunday, May 16; these Bonus Days can be reserved by Annual and Season Pass Members online starting on Monday, April 5.  Annual and Season Pass Members will be able to resume regular use of their passes starting on Monday, May 17.

What can you expect when Universal Studios Hollywood Reopens?
You can expect enhanced health and safety measures (such as face masks, limited attendance, social distancing, and more) that comply with the guidelines released by the State of California. But none of these will take away from the fun adventure you can enjoy inside the park!
Universal has also said that while most of the attractions will be operating, some offerings will not be available as they do not meet those guidelines. It is unclear at this time which attractions those are.
The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash attraction is a brand-new ride located at the upper lot that will be having its grand opening in conjunction with the reopening of the park!

On the lower lot, Jurassic World – The Ride did receive some updates during the extended closure of the theme park. Look out for the new Indominus Rex when you enjoy this attraction. You can read more about the upgrades made to Jurassic World – The Ride here.
You will also notice construction on the lower lot at the site of the future Super Nintendo World expansion. The green Mario-themed mountains are coming along quickly!
If you want to visit Universal before April 16, you can get a ticket to the special event, Taste of Universal. While this special event does not have any attraction operating for Guests, you can still enjoy food and characters while taking in the fun atmosphere of the theme park. Universal CityWalk is also currently open for no charge.
