Before the closure of the theme park, Universal was hard at work on a brand-new attraction. Could Universal reopen the theme park and debut a new attraction at the same time? We think so, and here is why!

Before Universal officially reopens to Guests, they are holding an exciting new food event called, Taste of Universal. Taste of Universal kicked off on March 12 and will run on select weekends through April. Universal has not put a hard end date on the event, but as the theme park will be able to soon reopen in a more substantial way based on state guidelines and current county tiers, we can expect that the event will not last very long.

Universal has been hard at work on a new attraction themed to their popular animated family movie, The Secret Life of Pets. Before Universal Studios Hollywood closed the theme park due to the ongoing pandemic, the attraction seemed ready to open.
Now, Universal is advertising for the attraction heavily on their website ahead of the parks reopening.

Additionally, we recently visited Universal Studios Hollywood for the opening day of the Taste of Universal event and got a great look at the exterior of the attraction.

It is possible that Universal could open this brand new family-friendly attraction when Universal Studios Hollywood officially reopens its theme park, but at this time, no opening date for the attraction or for the theme park has been announced. Inside the Magic will continue to update you as we get information surrounding Universal Studios Hollywood.
While we got a look at The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Least attraction during the opening day of the Taste of Universal event, we also got a close look at the ongoing construction for Super Nintendo World. This new expansion is being constructed on the lower lot while the new Secret Life of Pets attraction is on the upper lot.
