To celebrate the historic reopening of the Happiest Place on Earth this week, Disneyland is hosting a special live presentation tonight at 8:30 p.m. This presentation is in preparation for the reopening of Disneyland after its unprecedented year-long closure due to the pandemic.
Join us as we go inside the gates of Disneyland park and reawaken its unique magic that our guests and cast have dearly missed over the last year. In this heartfelt presentation, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and Ken Potrock, president of the Disneyland Resort will share messages of optimism and gratitude to the cast members of the Disneyland Resort.
After more than a year of closure, we are pleased to provide a live glimpse of a shining symbol, reawakened: Sleeping Beauty Castle in the heart of Disneyland. It is our wish that it may represent a beacon of hope for Disney fans everywhere.

After a lengthy closure and rocky road to reopening it will be something special for fans of Disneyland to hear Josh D’Amaro and Ken Potrock share their feelings on the reopening of the resort.
While fans were able to enter Disney California Adventure during the closure of the theme parks as both an extension of Downtown Disney and during the Touch of Disney event — Disneyland gates have remained tightly shuttered. Seeing the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle light up this evening will surely be an emotional sight for fans.
The official reopening of the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort is this Friday, April 30.
If you were unable to make a reservation for a day at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, you can still visit Downtown Disney which is open to the public without a need for a reservation.
