When any Guest visits a Disney Park, there are often “must-do” attractions that everyone wants to ride. At Disney World, major attractions such as The Haunted Mansion, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Test Track, Flight of Passage, and many more can boast huge lines, so when they unexpectedly close down temporarily, it can hinder plans for Guests.
Now that Disneyland Resort has officially reopened, Guests visiting must also refamiliarize with the idea that not all attractions will always be up-and-running Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Today, just moments after Disneyland opened up the gates for the first time in over a year, popular attraction Indiana Jones Adventure has already closed down.
As other attractions, such as Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, accepted Guests into their queues, Indiana Jones remained closed.
As you can see below, Cast Members were blocking the entrance to the attraction, so that Guests were unable to line up.
Unlike other attractions around the park, the wait times sign also remained blank, since the ride was not operational.
It seems that Guests were proaching the thrilling attraction in hopes to ride, but as we can see, they were being turned away.
If you know about the attraction, you are likely aware that Indiana Jones Adventure tends to close down due to maintenance quite often.
According to the Disneyland website, the attraction is described as:
An Ancient Legend
Follow Indy’s footsteps into the crumbling Temple of the Forbidden Eye past intricate booby traps. Inspect carvings and frescos that tell the story of Mara, a powerful deity who promises great treasures—and vengeance to those foolish enough to gaze into its all-seeing eyes.
Brave Unimaginable Perils
Board a rugged troop transport and enter the Chamber of Destiny. Confront inconceivable dangers, like precarious precipices over molten lava, screaming mummies, swarms of giant insects, spear-throwing wraiths, collapsing bridges, slithering snakes—and a massive rolling boulder.
If you find yourself in jeopardy, only one man is brave enough—or crazy enough—to save you… Dr. Jones!
All this being said, the attraction is now back up and running! If you want to be sure that any attraction you want to ride is open, take a look at the Disneyland app as it will have the most up-to-date information regarding wait times and attraction information.
