The special event is the first time Guests have been able to return to Universal Hollywood after the park was closed due to the pandemic, which has now been closed for an entire year. Now, Universal has announced that the event will be expanding to include the Jurassic Café on the lower lot of the theme park — Previously Taste of Universal was only offered on the upper lot.
Here is the announcement for Universal Studios Hollywood’s official Twitter account:
We’re opening Jurassic Cafe on the Lower Lot for #TasteOfUniversal, starting March 26! Enjoy a special event menu featuring the Isla Burger while relaxing outside to the sights and sounds of Jurassic World.

If you want to go to Taste of Universal and have not yet purchased a ticket, Universal recently added more days to the event. You can read more details here.
Guests have not been able to access the lower lot since the closure of Universal Studios Hollywood, therefore, fans will undoubtedly be excited about this change. This even gives a reason for many to visit the event again before it ends!
While this is a welcome addition to a Taste of Universal, fans are still waiting for a reopening date for Universal Studios Hollywood. As you know, Universal will be able to reopen the theme park within California state guidelines starting as early as April 1. Universal will continue with the Taste of Universal event and reopen sometime after the event ends.
Universal has yet to announce a reopening date, but they have emailed Pass Members getting them excited for the upcoming announcement.
If you cannot score a ticket to Taste of Universal, don’t panic. You can still visit CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood before the theme park officially reopens.
