Credit: DisneyRight now, the France pavilion in EPCOT is undergoing a major expansion adding in Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as well as a new creperie in an entirely new section that helps complete the World Showcase.
Interestingly enough, it seems that the entire pavilion as a whole is changing.
Most recently, Disney filed a permit for what seems to be Chefs De France, a highly popular table service restaurant in the France pavilion at the Disney park. Though it is not confirmed, we believe this is the location of the permit thanks to Google.
Buena Vista Construction Company, which does many of Disney World’s renovations, is set to be the contracting company for the project where they will “Provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction”.
At the moment, it seems that although construction has been slated via permit, Chefs De France will not be closing anytime soon. The restaurant is still available to Guests with lunch and dinner reservations available.
On the Disney World website, Chefs De France is described as:
Be transported to the heart of Paris at this charming café. With its high ceilings, intricate mosaic flooring and expansive windows looking out onto the promenade, this bright and airy restaurant features innovative French cuisine.
Celebrating fresh and simple ingredients, the menu changes seasonally but may include such delicacies as beef tenderloin, classic onion soup and roasted duck with cherries.
Guests 21 years of age and up can pair their entrée with a selection from the extensive list of imported French wines. For the perfect ending to any meal, try the Chefs de France signature crème brûlée or the tarte au chocolat. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

If Chefs De France is undergoing any kind of possible upgrade, it would fall in line with how the rest of the pavilion has progressed over the recent years. With the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along recently being added to the Impressions De France theater, the upcoming France pavilion expansion with yet another E-ticket attraction and quick service option, as well as the already opened delicious Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie and L’Artisan des Glaces, the France pavilion will soon be the one to beat.
As a reminder, the new expansion will open with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure on October 1 to celebrate the 50th anniversary celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort. EPCOT is also undergoing a huge transformation in Future World where Guests will also soon be able to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which currently does not have an opening date.
