Universal Unveils The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Update - Inside the Magic

If you are a fan of Marvel, you likely know about, or have already visited Marvel Super Hero Island at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. From Doctor Dooms Fearfall to The Incredible Hulk coaster, there are MCU thrills around every corner of the island that would make Stan Lee proud!

One of the most popular attractions is The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, which was built in 1999 and allows Guests to become their very own Peter Parker, as they get to become reporters at the Daily Bugle. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal Orlando Resort is a 3-D / 4-D motion simulator attraction. As described on the Universal website:

Blast Into Action With Spider-Man

Strap on your 3-D glasses and join the world’s most famous web slinger in a high-flying virtual reality ride. The villains of the Sinister Syndicate have stolen the Statue of Liberty and it’s up to Spidey to save the day.

You’ll face a cast of Marvel characters as you soar above the streets, scale skyscrapers and battle bad guys left and right. The high-definition 3-D graphics are so vivid, you might catch yourself counting the stitches on Spider-Man’s gloves. Just watch out for the 400-foot freefall.

Most recently, the 22-year-old attraction had construction walls around the facade of the attraction as it underwent a refurbishment. While this was happening, however, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man continued to run so the refurbishment that occurred was not to the ride itself but the external entrance and queue. 

Now, the construction walls have come down in the front area of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. From the photo posted by Inside Universal (@insideuniversal) on Twitter, it seems that the entrance has been given a fresh coat of paint, including the Spider-Man character!

If we take a look at the entrance prior to the construction walls going up, it seems that there were not any major changes to the attraction, so all who love this Universal ride can rest assured that walking by The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man will still give you the same web-slinging feeling!
