Disney World is building a mega-sized shopping and dining center called Flamingo Crossings. Flamingo Crossings also features hotels that are already built and operational. Here are a few reasons why you should consider staying at these hotels, and the advantages you will have staying at Flamingo Crossings during your vacation.

Flamingo Crossings
Disney has been working on this master-planned center for a long time. Recently they announced more retailers and restaurants that will be moving into Flamingo Crossings. The center will include a Target, Wendy’s, Dominos, a brewery, Japanese BBQ, a pizza place, and much more. You can read a full rundown of Flamingo Crossing retailers here.
This center will also be home to the massive new Disney College Program housing complex. This complex will house students who participate in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World. Recently we saw furniture being removed from the previous DCP housing as Disney continues to move forward with the project.

Two hotels that are perfect for families have already been completed at Flamingo Crossings and you can make a reservation on the Walt Disney World website for your stay!

Why You Should Stay
The two hotels that are currently open are SpringHill Suites at Flamingo Crossings Town Center, and TownePlace Suites at Flamingo Crossings.
Both hotels are only a 10-15 minute drive to Magic Kingdom, which is SO convenient! They offer cost-saving advantages that will help you save money on your Disney World trip, such as free breakfast in the mornings, and free self-parking! Both of which you would have to pay for if you were staying at a Disney World resort hotel. They do offer transport to the theme parks for an additional fee.
Staying at Flamingo Crossings would mean you are walking distance to all of the restaurants and retail locations the center has to offer. How nice would it be to have a Target right next to your hotel for those last-minute emergencies? And picking up some take-out from Domino’s when you get home from the theme park is a lot easier on the wallet than eating in the parks. For a family of five, even a quick service meal at Disney World will cost $$$.

We think Flamingo Crossings is a great play to stay if you have a family and are looking for convenience during your Walt Disney World vacation.
