With the holidays right around the corner, and social distancing orders still in effect, things are looking a little bit different this year than planned. So many people who typically would spend Christmas at Walt Disney World or ring in the New Year at Disney Springs, are having to bring that Disney dream to their home.
Thankfully with the help of the #DisneyMagicMoments campaign over at Disney Parks Blog, we’ve all been able to share in the Disney magic remotely. Whether through immersive videos sharing cast commentary from the Walt Disney Company or trying out our favorite Disney park recipes from home (churros all day), Disney magic is still available to all of us.
Disney Holiday Sweets Boards
In their recent efforts to stir up some holiday cheer, Disney Parks Blog teamed up with the talented creator behind Making Main Street, an Instagram page and website dedicated to all things DIY, crafts, and magic.
Ginny Phillips, the owner of the page, worked hard to create a stunning and edible display of Disney magic that will likely have you in awe. This Disney sweets board, for instance, will give you a holiday sugar rush in the best way and is the perfect Walt Disney inspired breakfast for your Christmas morning!
The only tool that you need to re-create this Disney Sweets Board for breakfast is a Mickey Mouse waffle iron or any of the themed Disney waffle irons available for purchase. I have this waffle iron and genuinely feel like I’m eating waffles from my favorite Disney resort every Sunday when I make them.
Ginny shared her personal favorite breakfast board toppings and how to assemble this display HERE, but both she and the team at Disney encourage you to use whichever toppings you and your family prefer. The real fun is in creating a festive treat that will bring a little Disney magic into your home, no matter what’s on the plate.
Be Creative and Have Fun!
If you don’t have a waffle iron, but still want to create a Disney theme on your board, try your hand at making Mickey pancakes! They are easy to make by pouring the batter slowly onto a hot pan or griddle and using a spoon to help shape the face. You can use chocolate chips or other candy to make a face!
Be sure to follow along with the Disney Parks Blog for more #DisneyMagicMoments throughout the holiday season, and give @MakingMainStreet a follow on Instagram to see what other creations she comes up with!
