If you want to have a perfect Disney vacation, having easy access to Disney Springs is one of the best ways to make that happen! Luckily, The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the perfect Official Disney Resort because it’s situated right next door to a pedestrian bridge.

Inside the Magic spent a day exploring Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, then went over to Disney Springs to have a fun and food-filled afternoon and evening and we are going to tell you why you should think about mimicking our day the next time you head to Walt Disney World.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista

First off, let’s discuss the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista hotel. You may not have known, it’s an Official Walt Disney Resort. The Wyndham is located on Disney property and it’s also the closest resort to Disney Springs, just across the pedestrian bridge in front to the hotel entrance.

We took a walkway over after exploring and were able to get over to the Springs in what felt like less than 5 minutes which is a huge benefit to staying at this hotel. Considering the best nightlife, shopping, and dining are all at Disney Springs, to have the ability to easily stride on over and skip the busy parking lot is a priceless convenience.

Plus, the rates that the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista are unbeatable! You can stay in deluxe level accommodations for value/moderate prices – and those prices have never been cheaper than they are now. With fresh renovations reinvigorating the room, you truly are getting all of the top notch finishing for a fraction of what it would cost at a Disney World Resort Hotel like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Check out a quick tour below!

Although the pandemic has changed some things, typically, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista would give you almost every perk that you get when on property including Extra Magic Hours, park transportation, and 60 FastPass+ booking window.

Arribas Brothers

After a quick walk across the bridge to Disney Springs, we were at Arribas Brothers instantly! Arribas Brothers is perfect for anyone looking to see amazing crystal and glass artwork, and if you are lucky, you can watch it actually be made.

Plus, Arribas Brothers are rooted deep in the Disney history canon. If you know anything about Walt Disney, you know he loved the World’s Fair. He actually met the Arribas Brothers at the World’s Fair, and used their work to create all of the princess tiaras, and the relationship only blossomed from there.

If you are ever looking to purchase a unique and special gift or a souvenir, this shop is your perfect one stop shop. From crystals and jewelry ranging from very low and affordable costs, to thousands of dollar crystal sculptures, there is something for everyone at this location.  If you can’t get here, you can find many of their creations at shopDisney.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Want a drink? Head to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to get amazing Cast Member service in a super cool atmosphere. We went over to this bar next to try all of the fun holiday drinks and food options and they were delicious. If you are an Indiana Jones fan, this is the bar for you. It is jam packed with hidden Indiana Jones secrets, and the bar is actually owned by Jock Lindsey, Indiana’s pilot! All you have to do is ask a Cast Member to show you around and there will be so many Easter eggs for you to enjoy.

Plus, the Hangar Bar is brilliantly decorated for the holidays! It is likely the most Christmas looking bar might ever visit, with tinsel hanging from every possible area. We all had a blast taking in all of the details this bar had to offer, including the adult beverages that are making me plan a return visit. We savored delicious appetizers including colored deviled eggs with shrimp and tobiko caviar and topped it off with Christmas cookies served with a cojito.

Planet Hollywood

And of course, you always need to find a good place to eat when you are at Disney! Lucky for you, staying at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista means you are closest to the best dining at Disney at Disney Springs.

There are SO many options when it comes to dining, but if you want good food with an even better environment, Planet Hollywood is for you. Planet Hollywood is truly a 3 level dining experience that has a projection ceiling with costumes all around the restaurant from classic films and tv shows including Dick Van Dyke’s Mary Poppins costume, and a suit from the Disney+ smash Star Wars hit, The Mandalorian.

We enjoyed delicious appetizers, one of the best veggie burgers I have ever tasted made fresh on-site much to my delight, and a strawberry milkshake topped with a giant piece cake that’s quite perfect for sharing, or someone like me who wanted to get the perfect Instagram shot. Those I dined with raved about the signature ribs and slow-roasted chicken dishes. We sipped a 45 oz. drink bowl known as The Perfect Storm.

My advice is to arrive hungry or plan to ask for carry out boxes as the portions are generous. You really can’t leave without starting with the High Roller sampler which includes Planet Hollywood’s classic chicken crunch, Texas tostados, buffalo wings, five cheese dip served with pita bread and jumbo shrimp.

Is the Wyndham right for you?

In the end, Disney Springs is definitely a must-do when it comes to your next Disney World vacation, and if you want to visit with some of the best deals in town, you should take a look at what the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort has to offer! It would be a perfect and affordable way to get away for the holidays, while still having a very Disney-centric vacation.
