It’s the long weekend here in America with Thanksgiving and Black Friday festivities taking place this weekend, the Orlando theme parks are at capacity – including Universal Orlando.
Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have been hitting capacity quite often lately. However, this has been more of a weekend occurrence. It got to the point that Universal Orlando was asking their Annual Passholders to come on weekdays because guests were being turned away at the gate due to capacity.
Well, it seems that today, Black Friday, Universal Orlando parks are all fully at capacity. If we take a look at the Universal Orlando app, we can see that in terms of today, both Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure are at capacity and we cannot see the park hours.
Universal crowds do tend to look quite full, especially on holiday weekends. If we think back to Labor Day, there were shoulder to shoulder crowds all throughout the parks, so if we are once again at capacity — there is a good change guests may be experiencing some bigger crowds. If you want to know what we mean, see below!

If today is any expectation, tomorrow will likely follow suit in terms of Universal hitting capacity. If you want to guarantee a spot in the park, going for park open is likely your best bet. On regular weekends we have seen all Universal Orlando Resort theme parks filling up by 11:00 AM, so it seems that with Universal, the early bird gets the worm!
Universal Orlando is not the only Orlando theme parks that will be experiencing max crowds this Thanksgiving weekend. Disney World no longer is accepting reservations for any of their 4 theme parks as well, so it is going to be a busy weekend in the Florida theme park industry.
If you are in the parks this weekend, remember to wear a mask properly, always sanitize, and keep your distance! Stay safe everyone and have fun!
Will you be visiting Universal Orlando this weekend?Â
