Disney World is at full capacity today, but even an hour after rope drop, there are still walk on rides!
Lately, the lines at Disney World have been extremely long due to social distancing measures and capacity increasing. In fact, I saw Seven Dwarfs Mine Train’s line at Magic Kingdom wrap all the way around to Dumbo. Even Astro Orbiter was boasting a 55-minute wait on Thanksgiving, so a reduced 35% capacity really does not do much when it comes to avoiding long lines.
Considering we are on a holiday weekend, getting a Disney Park Pass is impossible at this point with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom all hitting capacity, which likely means Disney World Guests better get ready to experience some really long lines. If you are like me and is someone who really doesn’t enjoy standing in line for extended periods of time, and just being at a Disney Parks brings you joy, there are attractions that are currently walk-ons at Disney World, even though the parks are at their max amount of Guests.
WDW Stats (@WdwStats) is the go-to Twitter feed to see ride wait times and information if you didn’t want to check the My Disney Experience app. Interestingly enough, today they posted the lowest wait times in Walt Disney World, even with every park full.

It seems the Guests are still able to walk onto attractions even with the parks hitting capacity, which is a relief to see after constant discussions have been going on that show the Disney wait times have been skyrocketing. If you are looking to pick your next Disney Park Pass reservation but are unsure as to which park you want to visit, it seems that Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom are your 2 best options to visit and ride at least 1 great attraction for either little to no wait. Of course, these wait times are subject to change.
With Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Barnstormer, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom all being 5-minute waits, that means you can ride 4 Disney attractions by simply walking on them, while Space Mountain currently holds a 1+ hour line. And at Animal Kingdom DINOSAUR, one of the park’s major thrill rides is a mere 10-minute wait, which is nothing considering the scale and spectacle that this ride provides. I don’t know about you but I am ready to go catch that dino!
