After consistently hitting its theme parks’ limited capacity on Saturdays and Sundays, Universal Orlando Resort has begun asking guests, if possible, to choose a different day of the week to visit.
If you have been to Universal Orlando since it’s reopening on a weekend, you likely have experienced the parks at capacity. Universal Orlando is asking its guests to consider coming on weekdays, as weekends are continuously hitting capacity and you may be turned away.
The notice came in the form of an email stating:
Thank you for purchasing a Florida resident ticket. We wanted to share some important details to help you make the most of your next visit.
Please be advised that due to increased demand during a time when we’re still limiting attendance as part of our enhanced procedures, there are times when the theme parks may reach capacity and additional guests will not be admitted, especially on the weekends with demand typically subsiding later in the day. If your plans are flexible, consider visiting on a weekday when the attendance tends to be lighter.
We encourage you to check our social channels, UniversalOrlando.com or call the Universal Orlando Resort Capacity Hotline at 407-817-8317 for real-time updates about the parks and capacity as you plan your upcoming visits.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
This notice comes after Universal Orlando warned its guests that they cannot enter Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands Of Adventure, or City Walk unless masked properly. If the mandated rules are not being followed, guests will be required to leave the park.Â
Lately, the Universal Orlando theme parks have been hitting capacity before noon on weekends, so if you want to visit the theme parks, it may be best to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon. It seems that as guests start to leave the parks, the capacity is lifted which often happens a few hours prior to close.
If you are planning on heading to the parks but want to know if they are at capacity prior to attending the park, call Universals Capacity Hotline (407-817-8317). This will give you a fast message on if the parks are at capacity.
