The Mandalorian may be the most popular show on Disney+ — and by the looks of things, one of the most popular shows in America — but, it’s safe to say that Gina Carano (Cara Dune) is not the Star Wars series’ most popular actress.

Carano, who is no stranger to social media controversy, recently shared the following post to her Twitter account. The graphic reads:

Breaking News: Democratic Government Leaders Now Recommends [sic] We All Wear Blindfolds Along With Masks So We Can’t See What’s Really Going On

The post garnered a great deal of backlash among Carano’s followers and The Mandalorian fans at large.

While nobody directly related to the show — showrunner Jon Favreau, director Dave Filoni, or lead actor Pedro Pascal, for example — has responded to Carano’s Tweet in any way, fans have become so frustrated that the hashtag #FireGinaCarano is trending.

Here, we take a look at some responses to the Star Wars actress’s controversial post.

Lucho B. had a “live and let live” response, writing:

Gina has gone all in crazy. That’s okay though, i just don’t want to see it. @Disney #FireGinaCarano

Other fans tried to keep the situation somewhat lighthearted, with Wren writing:

#FireGinaCarano and replace her with Frog Lady please.

Twitter user Jord also suggested casting another Mandalorian character in Carano’s place — perhaps more seriously than the Frog Lady reference. She wrote:

#FireGinaCarano make koska reeves the new female lead instead

Reeves appeared alongside Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) in Bryce Dallas Howard’s Chapter 11 episode of The Mandalorian, which aired last week.

Other Twitter users, however, were more impassioned in their responses to Carano’s post — and past posts. Kennedy wrote:

this isn’t just a difference in political opinions, what she has done and continuing to do is violent and harmful. she is supporting and defending white supremacists and their extremist ideals whilst voicing her own. #FireGinaCarano

Disney officials have not yet commented on the current social media storm surrounding Gina Carano. Stay tuned to Inside the Magic for the latest on everything about The Mandalorian
