The Thanksgiving Holiday week has brought massive crowds once again to the Walt Disney World Resort. Even though capacity is limited to 35%, we are still seeing capacities already being hit and long lines and high wait times forming at the entrance to some of our favorite attractions.
According to the MyDisneyExperience App, here are some of the most intense lines we’re seeing so far!
Magic Kingdom Wait Times
Magic Kingdom is starting the morning with a 90 minute wait time at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and an hour wait at Space Mountain. The park opened less than 2 hours ago.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Wait Times
Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened at 10 am and it took less than an hour for the line at Slinky Dog Dash to hit 95 minutes, 75 minutes at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and 50 minutes at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Wait Times
Disney’s Animal Kingdom was the first theme park to open today, admitting Guests starting at 8 am. In that time, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey have wait times longer than an hour, and both Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, and DINOSAUR have earned a 40-minute wait time.
EPCOT Wait Times
Opening at 11 am today, EPCOT faces not just crowds from Thanksgiving week, but also crowds excited to experience the first day of EPCOT’s modified holiday celebration, the Taste of EPCOT: International Festival of the Holidays.
Crowds here have resulted in a 60-minute wait at EPCOT, a 75-minute wait for Test Track, and a 105-minute wait for Frozen Ever After.

While these wait times may seem mild compared to those seen before the pandemic, Disney World’s safety measures that involve people keeping six feet apart in lines result in excruciatingly long-looking lines. For example, a 60-minute long wait time at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train wraps around the attraction and begins near the entrance to Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid.
