Recently, I had the chance to visit the Walt Disney World Resort for vacation. I stayed on property at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and visited the theme parks every day I was there.
Once back home, I received an email from Disney Parks, all about my recent vacation. This is something Disney has been routinely doing ever since they reopened the parks back in July, as they continue to learn and grow from their Guests’ experiences.
This survey, in particular, asked about a variety of topics — including how my vacation was overall, which parks I visited, transportation methods, COVID-19, and more. The email, which was received 5 days after I returned back home, stated that Disney is continuing to conduct “important online survey[s] among Guests who recently visited us.”
The beginning of the survey asked standard questions, including age, gender, location of residence, etc. However, as I continued to answer the questions, they became more and more specific, including asking if I used Magical Express transportation during my stay.
The transportation aspect of things seemed to be one of the main highlights of this survey, as I was asked which mode of Disney transportation I utilized to and from the parks for each day I visited.
Disney recently made several changes to their transportation system due to the pandemic, as they are keeping Guests’ and Cast Members’ safety in mind. For example, when taking a Disney bus, assigned seating is now implemented along with dividers in order to allow parties to remain socially distanced while riding, which you can see in the photo below.
In addition, Disney’s Skyliner is now only taking one party per car, rather than filling in the seats with multiple families.
Health and Safety/COVID-19 Questions
After the transportation questions ended, I was then asked about why I, personally, wanted to take a Disney vacation. The answers referenced the health and safety protocols that were implemented at Disney Parks as well as COVID-19.
I was also asked about my household and the members who resided with me. The questions aimed at if they all traveled to Florida along with me, or if some stayed home. This is most likely also related to the current pandemic, quarantining, etc.
If you want to visit Disney World, keep in mind several changes have been put into place to ensure safety. This includes no character meet and greets, parades, or fireworks, elimination of FastPass+, social distancing markers, encouragement of contactless payments, QR menus at restaurants, and more.
Disney did, however, just announce they will be bringing back park hopping, with modifications. You can read more about this here.
