Christmas started on November 6th and runs all the way through December 30th. We had a reporter inside the park who captured some of the excitement when the special holiday offerings began inside Magic Kingdom. We discovered that Disney had some special surprises up their sleeves for us in addition to what was previously announced.

One of those little Christmas surprises was seeing Buzz Lightyear come out on the Tomorrowland stage and give Guests a totally Tomorrowland greeting!
The Guests LOVED seeing Buzz Lightyear surprise his biggest fans and offer a warm holiday greeting to those who passed by. It is a great opportunity to snap a selfie with everyone’s favorite space ranger.
Perhaps on your visit you might see a different character come out in their Christmas attire to greet guests. Since this character greeting was not set in stone, anything could happen! Be sure to ask a Tomorrowland Cast Member on your holiday visit for information as things may be operating differently daily.
Buzz Lightyear is not the only character making a special appearance for the holidays. We were so happy to see that the Muppet characters including, Fozzie Bear, Kermit, and Miss Piggy have returned to give Guests warm holiday wishes at Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom. You can read all about the Muppet’s new greeting here.
