If you want to book Disneyland reservations, keep this in mind! The California theme park destination continues to delay new hotel bookings as Disney awaits news from government officials.

Disneyland Resort has once again pushed back new hotel reservations. We discovered today that all three onsite hotels at Disneyland Resort (Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) are only allowing new reservations for November 1 and beyond.

Disney has also been sending emails to Guests with reservations through mid-October asking them to postpone or cancel their hotel reservations, as they will be affected by the hotel closures.

From what we found on the Disneyland official website, the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are now only accepting new reservations for November 1 and later. Note that at this time, you can book a hotel reservation, but it has to be a room-only booking, as new ticket sales are currently on pause. However, if you want to book a stay at one of the onsite hotels so you can get back to the magic as soon as you’re able to, click here to work with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner who can help.

Keep in mind that we still have no indication of when the theme parks or hotels of the Disneyland Resort will reopen. We continue to wait for more information regarding Disneyland Resort’s reopening date, and as soon as we have more official news pertaining to the reopening of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort — and the reopening of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure — we will update our website.

An update regarding Disneyland Resort operations came last week during a presentation about Disney Parks operations during the pandemic. Patrick Finnegan, Vice President of Disney California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney, shared that “the reception we’ve seen has been incredibly positive” since Downtown Disney reopened on July 9. But still, more information is needed from the state.

“We continue talking with the governor’s office about how we are adapting our business [and the success at other theme parks],” Finnegan stated. “We are ready to open and we hope to have guidance from the state soon.”

Rumors surrounding guidelines pertaining to Disneyland and DCA reopening have been circulating online. However, keep in mind nothing is for certain unless it is announced by the state and by Disney officials. We’ll keep monitoring the news and bring you the latest updates as we receive them.
